About

This calculator performs the structural analysis and design of pad foundations in accordance with Eurocode 2 and 7 guidelines, including the UK National Annex. It designs a single concentric or eccentric pad footing subjected to axial loads, horizontal forces, and bending moments in both x and y directions. The tool checks for flexural, transverse shear, bearing pressure, sliding resistance, and punching shear. Additionally, interactive plots visualize loads, bending moments, and shear forces, while a comprehensive design report is generated for review.

Quick Design Process

  1. Define Geometry: Enter foundation and column dimensions and materials.
  2. Input Loads: Specify axial loads, horizontal forces, and moments.
  3. Design Calculation: Click 'Design' to calculate the foundation size and reinforcement.
  4. Review and Refine: Adjust base size, depth, and reinforcement as needed.
  5. Download Report: Once all checks pass, save your design report.
