This calculator is designed for analyzing and designing combined pad foundations that support two columns, fully compliant with Eurocode 2 and 7 (including the UK National Annex). It handles: Axial loads, horizontal forces, and bending moments in both the X and Y directions. Checks for flexural strength, transverse shear, and bearing pressure to ensure safe design. To help you visualize the results, it includes: Interactive plots showing load distribution, bending moment, and shear force diagrams. A complete design report summarizing all calculations and code checks for easy review.

Quick Design Process

  1. Define Geometry: Enter foundation and column dimensions and materials.
  2. Input Loads: Specify axial loads, horizontal forces, and moments.
  3. Review Size Suggestions The software calculates the optimum size of the foundation based on the loads and bearing pressure providing size suggestions that allows the foundation geometry coincide with the load centroid
  4. Design Calculation: Click 'Design' to calculate the foundation size and reinforcement.
  5. Review and Refine: Adjust base size, depth, and reinforcement as needed.
  6. Download Report: Once all checks pass, save your design report.
